Dr. Stephen Strickland has a true passion for orthodontics and the impact the service has on his patients’ lives. He believes that an orthodontist has a unique opportunity with each patient to have a positive impact on their life and to watch their confidence and self-esteem grow as their smile improves. These benefits extend well past their treatment…they are life-long! Dr. Stephen Strickland has always had a strong interest in becoming an orthodontist and had the opportunity to work in the practice in high school and college. Once in college, he knew that orthodontics was his calling, and worked hard to give himself the opportunity to attend one of the top orthodontic programs in the country. Dr. Stephen Strickland became board certified directly out of his orthodontic residency, a distinction that less than a third of orthodontists achieve in their career. Dr. Stephen Strickland feels that orthodontic treatment is more than straightening teeth and developing beautiful smiles. It allows him to interact with each patient one-on-one and learn about his or her dreams and aspirations. Dr. Stephen Strickland enjoys the ability to build a relationship and friendship that is bigger than just the orthodontic treatment.
“I feel blessed and honored to have the opportunity be able to work with my father and a wonderful team to provide an amazing lifelong service to so many people in the community where my wife and I grew up. I sometimes have to pinch myself that I have the opportunity to have my dream job! I am inspired by the transformation of a patient’s smile and how much they have changed from the beginning of treatment. A patient’s newfound joy of smiling is all the thanks I need!”
